Cambria Portland Classic
/Facing off COVID, Hurricanes in Florida and Bushfires in Oregon Sarah was able to finish tied 51st at the Cambria Portland Classic.
It was a pretty frustrating week for Sarah as the poor air quality from the bush fires disrupted practice times and reduced the event to 54 holes.
“The course was closed on Monday and Tuesday and even most of Wednesday. I managed to get 9 holes in on Thursday and was ready to go play for sure!”
After making the cut on the number even par Sarah was able to improve her lot with a 2 under par final round.
“Taking everything into account it was a pleasing result. Looking forward to a week off before playing in the Shoprite event in October. Just wish there was a vaccine so I could get home for a while!”
Best of the Aussies was defending Champ Hannah Green who finished tied 12 just three shots behind eventual winner, pommie Georgia Hall.
