James Grierson: The Story So Far

After gaining status on the PGA China Tour, albeit not the top Q School category, James decided it was now or never to turn Pro. He had to simply take his chances at teeing up professionally wherever he could.

He had three opportunities in May to tee up as a Pro. First opportunity arose in Papua New Guinea where he made the cut and finished and finished T22 on 7 under. He then got his first start on the PGA Tour of China at the Qinhuangdao Championship where he finished T48 at 1 under par.

The following week he played in the Meriton Sydney Invitational. This is th biggest pro-am in australia and whilst not an official order of merit event attracts a good strength filed of pros who play three courses over three days.

James had a podium 3rd place finish at 6 under par to round out an excellent first month on tour.
