Trav played 5 tournaments in the first quater of 2024. One Australasian Tour event, the Vic Open, and 4 Asian Tour events including the co-sanctioned NZ Open.
He had 3 top tens which helped lift his Official World Golf Ranking to 217; his highest level.
The first quarter made for extensive travel, clocking up 50,000 Kilometres across Asia the Middle East and Australasia.
“The travel really got to me, by the time I got to NZ I was literally dizzy as I walked the course. A few hours time difference I can manage but 6 hours plus can be really hard.”
After 4 events on the Asian tour he is ranked 12 on the OOM.
Thankfully he now has a 4 week break until the Saudi Open on 17 April.
He has a couple of chances to qualify for a Major. The Kolon Korea Open offers 2 spots as part of The Open Qualifying Series. Trav has also entered final qualifying for the US Open at Woodmont Maryland on 3 June.
