Trav bowed out of The Open with rounds of +7 and +1 missing the cut by 5 shots.
His consolation prize? Getting the first hole in one at the new “Little Eye” par 3 17th.
By his own admission he didn’t play well in round 1 missing just about every fairway and inevitably finding it hard to control the ball out of the fescue rough. There are only so many up and downs you can make in a round of golf to stay in touch.

What’s next for Trav?
The Asian Tour’s International Series England tees of in Newcastle on 17 August then the following week its off to St Andrews for a further International Series event The St Andrews Bay Championship at the Fairmont Torrance Course.
