Sarah tees up this week in her first LPGA Tour event of 2023; The Drive On Championship in Arizona.

A hugely busy 2022 saw Sarah play 24 tournaments worldwide. A solid year where she maintained her Rolex ranking at 188 at the year-end, slipping slightly from her career high of 170 at the close of 2021.

Her two top tens were at the LPGA’s Kroger Queen City Championship  where she finished 8th and on home turf at Bonville where she tied 8th.

She teed up in 4 Major championships and had really solid finishes at the Women’s PGA Championships finishing T40 and at The Evian finishing T54.

In the all important Race to CME Globe Sarah finished 96 missing out on the year end play offs.

“Certainly last year fell a bit below my expectations after such a strong 2021.  I feel really good about 2023 after all the disruptions which have affected my travel and coaching routines.  My priority ranking has slipped out of the top 80 but feel good about improving my ranking in a re-shuffle.”

“Being able to make two trips back home in the past three months has been incredibly useful and I am enjoying playing with the guys! Love the challenge.”

Sarah played two events at the start of 2023 in Australia the Vic Open where she finished tied 9 at 5 under par and the TPS at Bonnie Doon finishing tied 5 at 17 under.

“It’s great that the Tours in Australia are showing how innovation in golf can really help the sport.”

“I did intend to stay in Australia a bit longer to tee up at my own club, Forster Tuncurry, for the Women’s NSW Open. Unfortunately the event clashes with the Drive On and my priority has to be aiming for that improvement in my ranking on the LPGA Tour.”
