Middle East Swing to start 2023

The 2023 Asian Tour starts this week with the biggest purse of the season, US$5m, up for grabs at the PIF Saudi International. Following the Saudi event the Tour moves to Oman and Qatar for two International Series events before heading down under for the New Zealand Open

After a near two month break Trav is geared up to start the new year. His last year on the tour had some fabulous highlights including:

  • 7th place on the Asian Tour Order of Merit, the highest ranked Aussie on the Tour

  • Won his first professional event in Taiwan at the Yeangder TPC

  • 4 top ten finishes

  • Played in 3 LIV events

After 5 years on the professional tour he has certainly consolidated his position.

“Last year was just incredible, it’s just a bit of a blur sometimes when I think about all the tournaments and travel. After being in Newcastle and coming second I sort of just got on this ride which was LIV and things just took off; yeah totally hoped for it, but didn’t expect it!”

“Made a few changes now on the coaching side but really happy to have Dean (Kinney) supporting me and on the bag for a few events.”

“Got a busy start to 2023 aiming to play 11 events in 14 weeks or so. Mostly through Asia after NZ so not too much travel fortunately”.
