Staying Positive

Trav has been in the USA for 5 months since his last event in Australia, the NSW Open. Playing mini tour events and battling it out at Monday Qualifiers for a start on a Korn Ferry Tour event. Narrowly missing starts.

Recently he played the CoBank Colorado Open Championships, under invitation, making the cut but finishing down the leaderboard. Last week he teed up at an APT event (All Pro Tour) the Colbert Charity Classic in Kansas finishing in 29th spot at 6 under the card. Both these events had purses around US125K so they attract strong fields.

“Pretty happy with the way I am hitting it. Putting is the missing link to getting inside the top 10. Its hard to judge where your game is when you are not competing regularly, but I am sure I can figure it out”.

Plan for the rest of the year is to play the Korn Ferry Q School late October then return home to play in the Australasian Tour events.

Here’s a good snapshot of Trav’s golf life in the US put together by the Asian Tour.

No news when the Asian Tour might restart.
