Laguna Phuket Championship

Trav made the weekend at the second event in Phuket tied 22nd at 3 under par. The cut line was +1 with the leader at 12 under.

Behind that 3 under is fabulous opening round of 7 under followed by a gruelling + 4 in the second round.

On Thursday he played alongside Bio Kim the current leader who was 8 under after the first round and leading the field. Trav was in a tie for 2nd. Trav started round 1 on the 9th hole and had a run of four birdies. His eventual 7 under was his third round of 7 under in his last 5 rounds of golf. Something was obviously going right!

Friday was a different story. Trav found the hazard on 7 and eventually signed for a +3 on that hole.

“That was real hard to recover from that number. In the end I just had to grind it out and stick to my routines.”
