ASI Scottish Open
/After a disappointing close out to the British Open, where Sarah was unable to climb the leader board on the final day, she headed just north of the border to North Berwick to play the ASI Scottish Open.
“I was absolutely mentally exhausted as I went into the 4thround at the Open. I got off to a lousy start and I recovered a bit but couldn’t sustain it.
At the Scottish Open she carded a solid even par opening round but then awful weather meant play was suspended. Starting late in the day on Friday she was unable to complete her second round and was forced to finish play for the day after 16 holes.
At that point she had just birdied the 16thto be even par for the tournament and right on the cut line.
Next day she had to complete the round teeing off at dawn. Having made bogey on the 17th she simply had to go for birdie on he last and just pushed to hard and ended up with double.
“Really wish I could have finished the night before. Just made birdie and then the day was called. The next day rhythm just wasn’t there.”
“Looking forward to a much needed break after playing 9 out of the last 11 weeks.”
