Podium Finish at Mercedes Benz Gold Coast Sanctuary Cove Professional Shoot Out

Travis teed up at the Mercedes Benz Sanctuary Cove Shoot out over the week end and finished 3rd. He was runner up in 2018.

The shoot out is a unique event on the calendar where a quality field of just 19 golfers tee up on the first hole and one is eliminated every hole. Ties are resolved through a “chip off”. So basically, its last man standing.

The eventual winner was Nick O’Hern beating Jake McLed on the 18th. Trav was eliminated on the 17th via a chip off.

“Gave me a lot of confidence playing in such a strong field. Especially my putting, I was forced to make pars from 8 feet which certainly got my attention! I was bogey free through the 17 holes which was great. If you make a bogey you’re out of the tournament.”
