Season Ending SMBC Singapore Open

In the final event of the multi-year season, Trav tees up this week at the Sentosa Golf Club to challenge for the US$1.25m SMBC Singapore Open.

This is the second event in Singapore following the Singapore International last week where he was placed T48. “Last week the course was just brutal the greens were really tough. The course was really penalising if you were not absolutely perfect”.

Asian Tour is repeating the pattern of playing two events geographically adjacent as they did in Phuket during December.

Importantly Trav was able to maintain his position on the OOM at 21 inside the top 30 to qualify for the US$5m PIF Saudi International in February.

“Love the course at Sentosa, played here a couple of times. Hopefully a good finish coming up this week.” “The COVID safeguards here are incredible, daily testing and wearing masks during the Pro-Am.”

“Just gotta stay COVID free!”

Trav finished T11 when the event was last played in January 2020.

After the Saudi International Trav will return to Australia and play the Vic Open on 10 February then hang around and play some of the new TPS events in Australia before teeing up at the NZ Open which is co-sanctioned with the Asian Tour. That event has still to be confirmed.
