Amundi Evian Championship
/The importance of club selection! Kempy sports the new range of Crestlink.
Sarah entered the week end at the Evian Championshuip at Evian-Les-Bains, France in a tie for 11th place.
After closing out the first round with an eagle to finish 4 under par she leapt out of the starting blocks like an Olympic sprinter in the second round. Kempy was 3 under through 4 holes in round 2 eventually settling for a round of 69; 2 under.
At 6 under she is the best placed of the Aussies with Minjee Lee just one shot back at 5 under.
“Yep real happy with my game right now. I know the course well and my putting was right where it needs to be.”
Cannot write about the tournament without noting a round of 61, an incredible 10 under par, by leader Jeongeun Lee6. That represents the lowest round in men’s or women’s Major history.
Jeongeun leads the field at 15 under par 3 shots clear.
