Darren Beck 2018/2019 wrap to date
/2018 marked a return to form for Beck who finished 29th in the Order of Merit on the PGA Tour of Australasia; his highest finish in 5 years.
The year was book-ended by failure and success. He had opted to try and regain his Asian Tour card at Q school in January. A miss in this attempt was a disappointing start to 2018
Ultimately he played 14 events on the Australasian Tour making 9 cuts with two top ten results. He finished the year with his best result of T9 at the PGA Championships. He was able to fill in his schedule by playing a few events in the Philippines where he gained status and 15 Pro-Ams in Australia. He finished 36th on the Pro-Am OOM.
For 2019 Beck has maintained the form playing four events on the PGA Australasian Tour making two cuts with his best finish at the Queensland PGA Championship where he finished 19th. On the Pro-Am circuit he won the Brookwater Pro-Am and was runner up at the biggest Pro-Am in Australia the Meriton Sydney Invitational
For 2019 his aim is to maintain his form and be in a solid financial position to return to the Asian Tour.
