Trav narrowly lost to Josh Younger on the second playoff hole of the 2019 AV Jennings NSW Open at Twin Creeks.

At the close of regular play Travis was tied for the lead with Josh Younger at 17 under par. He had rounds of 65,69,66 and 71.

“Obviously a bit disappointed not to carry off the trophy but I’m happy with my game and the way it held up under tournament pressure.”

“When I teed off the 18th in regulation play I actually didn’t know that Josh had doubled bogeyed the 18th to bring him back to 17 under. So I thought I was putting for a place not the win when I got to the 18th green. The play off came as a surprise!”

A feature of Trav’s round was some great par saves on the occasions he wasn’t making greens in regulation.

Trav moves to 10th on the Aussie Order of Merit.

Unfortunately he will miss the Aussie Open this week as he has understandably prioritised the Asian Tour. He heads off to Mauritius then Indonesia. He hopes to climb the Asian Tour OOM sufficiently to allow him to play the PGA Championships.
