After a disappointing final round at the Thailand Open, where a final round 76 saw Trav slip to 65, he recovered from a bout of gastro to finish top 20 in India at the Panasonic Open.

A good omen before the first round was winning the longest drive at 326 yards. Poor air quality and visibility created a frustrating time for all. Ultimately it took three full days to play two rounds and cut the field to top 60 and ties. The tournament was then reduced to 54 holes.

Trav eased into the final day with a pair of 69s and a third round even par resulted in a tie for 14th.

β€œIt was a tough final round the wind really got up so I was happy to card even par. Some big numbers were carded by a few guys. I was really flat after the Thailand Open and was lucky to get over the stomach bug and be in shape to play.”

The result edged Trav up the order of merit to 59. Looking to improve on this in the next couple of events to secure a position inside the top 60. There are 5 more events on the Asian tour in 2019 but a few clash with the Aussie tour during December.

This week he tees up in Malaysia at the Sabah Masters.
