/With no significant playing opportunities in and around Asia Trav opted to spend some time in the US. Playing options included the Adams Tour were he was successful last year or have another tilt at a Monday Qualifier to gain a start on a Web.Com Tour event.Monday qualifiers are a tough school with only the top 6 qualifying. Just one round of golf so everything has got to be right. No second chances. Trav was successful at a Monday qualifier last year so he decided to try again. This week, (on Monday of course!), he carded 3 under par to finish T3 and qualify from a field of 120 contenders for the Evans Scholars Invitational. The tournament is at the Glen Club near Chicago and has a purse of US$550,000.He scored 1 under in the first round to be tied 31st. “Yeah got it to 2 under but got a bit unlucky hitting a green side bunker on 16. Game feels good and I’m enjoying the scene.“For the second round Trav tees off the 10th on Friday at 9.01am. Cut is top 65 and ties maybe even or one over par.
